Here we are! A new Gypsy Project is Coming! “Giulio Romano Gypsy Project” is a Trio made up by Giulio Romano Malaisi, lead guitar, Jake Maun on rhythm guitar and Claudio Corona on Piano/Accordion. This project is a Mix of Django's tunes and other jazz standards, blending the sound of the swing tradition with the accordion, which reminds of the fantastic records by Patrick Sassuois and Alma Santi. Three Superb musicians with different musical experiences, which together give life to a show considered a vortex of passion, emotions and traditions of Gypsy Jazz Style. About them: Giulio Romano Malaisi is one of the best guitars player belong to a Jazz scene. His experience as guitarist started in younger age. In London since he was 18, he quickly gained work as a session player, concertist and composer – collaborating with the top and luminaries musicians from all over the world. Giulio’s made up his carrier in London up to the point he has been invited to play in many top venues, festivals and public events across the Uk. Claudio Corona is an Accordionist and Pianist! He plays a range of vintage keyboards including the Hammond Organ (also with left hand bass), Fender Rhodes, Clavinet, Hohner Pianet and analogue synthesizers. Claudio is an accomplished blues, jazz and funk keyboardist. Since 2010 he has been working as a visiting lecturer at the music department of West Kent-College, Tonbridge, where hehas gained a diploma in teaching (DTLSS). Jake Maun began playing Gypsy Jazz back in 2010 after rediscovering the recordings of Django Reinhardt. Jake has been making a name as, an up and coming musicians on the London Jazz scene playing Gypsy Jazz with a modern twist. Jake has played with some of leading exponents of the new generation of players from France and combines a love for the original Hot Club sound infused with elements of modern Jazz Style.
