Why are these events so special?

The Prestige Performance Concerts are the icing on the cake at Le QuecumBar!, mostly guitar oriented for which we are world famous, as we showcase the best players from around the globe who play Gypsy Swing Django Reinhardt style and other great global players Gypsy and non Gypsy of other Gypsy styles such as Balkan and Flamenco and bring to London musicians often not seen elsewhere in the UK.

This is our specialist field and we are known worldwide for our unique live music venue specialising in promoting Django Reinhardt - Gypsy Swing and those who perform it. - A style born in 30's Paris drawing on nearly 2000 years of Gypsy culture. We promote the most positive Gypsy attributes topped by their amazing musical talents and their joy of sharing their music with others and their audiences, this includes workshops that we have here giving others the chance to learn from the very best and the source.

The magic of these performances are that they are set in an intimate 1930s Parisian café style setting, where you can enjoy good food and wine and be up close to the music and musicians perfoming which is essential for this style and cannot be appreciated in the same way in a large impersonal venue.

This music was born in 30’s Parisian café’s and so you get to see it in an environment close to how it was when it all started.

Our Patrons and other Gypsy Swing guitar masters can be found playing here usually on Sunday and Monday concerts, however most of them sadly only get to visit us once a year so catch them while you can, they make up the top echelon of the worlds best players of this style.

Feel the energy and excitement that these musiacians generate in their up close intimate performances whilst enjoying the atmosphere of a more elegant era.

You will never know how good these concerts are unless you have experienced them for yourself.  Many of our customers for these events travel for miles to enjoy these magical musical experiences some of which we have captured live on CD on our in house record label Le Q Records.  They can be downloaded at www.linnrecords.com or bought in our online shop.  We also offer other cds at the bar from other bands that have played here in the past which cannot be purchased in shops.

Audiences are always thrilled by the quality of musicianship and joy at these concerts, our customers always remark on the excitement of being here up close and hearing the improvisations as they are created.

Special Events

Our other bands follow our nostalgic swing and Gypsy theme, mostly based in UK whom we give a platform to play on – they are talented and enthusiastic and are well worth making the effort to get here to support them and listen to some superb eclectic musicians and vocalists who grace our stage regularly – they are to be encouraged and have real talent and only by audiences support can they continue with what they do and we in what we do – which is to keep live music alive and kicking in the best environment.

All the ticket money collected from our audiences goes directly to the musicians and our booking conditions are on the bookings page.

Please note: All the ticket money collected for Prestige Performance Concerts and Special Events goes directly to the musicians. A lot of our Prestige performers live abroad therefore the ticket money is for their fee and expenses to get here, therefore we only generate revenue from food and drink sales at these events. In light of this and in order to continue hosting world class events we reserve the right to charge a minimum spend of £15 pp and 15% service is added to the bill at these events, which goes directly to the staff. Once you have bought a ticket you do not need to book a table as your seat is reserved at a table with each ticket sale
