A Swing tribute to Colman Hawkins and Ben Webster two great 1930s style tenor sax players of that period -Stride piano and 2 tenor sax Sax with sex appeal - Saxophony is a trio comprising three great players. The band has been formed as tribute to two great tenor saxophone players of 1930s Coleman Hawkins and Ben Webster. Appearing for the first time at the Que is the renowned Tenor Sax player John Lee who is the best exponent of the Ben Webster style of tenor sax we have in this country. Bernie Holden will be playing the other Tenor sax in the group, well known to Que regulars for his frequent appearances at the weekly jam sessions and the acclaimed Quecumbar All Stars album. Hugh Crozier is without doubt one of Britain's leading exponents of stride piano. Hugh works in the tradition of such greats as Fats Waller and Jelly Roll Morton.
