It’s Django Reinhardts 108th birthday! Belgian Gypsy guitar genius who captured the world with his Gypsy Swing More than 80 years late his music still swings

Tonight we celebrate his legacy and genre with not one - but two very different bands all with their own take on Django! and their own style of the genre

Django....the legendary Gypsy, guitar genius, composer, band leader and creator of Gypsy swing/jazz, a uniquely European jazz genre born in 1930’s Paris, drawing on over 1000 years of Gypsy culture.

At Le QuecumBar, we’re all about Django!! And every year we celebrate his birthday, and what a treat we have to celebrate this legend this year....

8-8.30 - 9.45- 10.15 STEPHANE GRAFFITI a duo that sounds like a quartet Noreen Cullen (violin, guitar and vocals), and Adrian Burns (guitar and vocals). Without doubt the greatest UK – Violin, Guitar and vocal duo! Alive and kicking up the dust in true cabaret style! Wild musical, swinging and rocking shenanigans. They play and sing it all and leave the crowd wanting more and more.....a mix of rock, swing, bluegrass, Irish and also Russian favourites. Stephane Graffiti are a vibrant rocking swinging duo that will get your feet tapping and hands clapping.

8.45 - 9.30 10.30 - 11.15 LE QUECUMBAR ALLSTARS - Sextet line up Le QuecumBar’s very own Allstars make an appearance made up of regular musicians who support us all year round. Charming and swooning you tonight will be Harry Diplock rythm guitar, Ewan Bleach clarinet Simon Moore on guitar, Gypsy (QuecumBar Patron) Ducato Piotrowski rythm Guitar, Noreen Cullen violin vixen, and of course, Eleazar Sprefico on double bass, bringing you some authentic Gypsy swing, Django style!

All tickets at www.quecumbar.co.uk. Doors open at 6pm, and food is served until 10pm. Seating is allocated on arrival and on busy nights, couples may need to share tables. Performance at least 8pm -11pm !
