Orient Express Swing are talented jazz trio from France who are taking audiences on a unique and exciting musical journey across Europe, all the way from Paris to Istanbul. Imagine standing at the bar in the city of lights and being swept off your feet by an enticing French waltz. Open your eyes and you have been magically transported to a gypsy camp, where you are dancing around a fire to some electrifying jazz manouche.  In a flash you are then at the heart a colourful Bulgarian wedding procession, snaking though the streets of a countryside village. Before finally finding yourself on the banks of the Bosphorous river swaying to delightful exotic melodies, while watching the sun go down…  Orient Express Swing is a three-piece ensemble composed of Julien Aubertin (guitar), Jean-Baptiste Gaudrat (guitar and clarinet) from the historic city of Poitiers in South West France and Adriano Balducci Moncada (guitar) from the Italian capital, Rome. After graduating from some of the best musical schools in the country Julien and Jean-Baptiste hit the road to hone their craft and discover different musical styles. Julian was attracted to the swing bars in Paris and developed a unique manouche style that blends flamenco, cool jazz and improvisation. Jean-Baptiste headed east, after living and playing in Spain for a few years, being seduced by traditional Jewish music and Balkan rhythms. After returning from the road they met London-based Adriano who has cut his teeth in cellars of jazz clubs of Fiumicino and Soho and today they are now eager to present their original, fresh and exciting sound to a wider audience.
