Ruby Robinson and her swinging band draws their wide repertoire from over 100 years music! Easy listening Jazz Standards, outstanding covers from Scott Bradlee’s ‘Postmodern Jukebox’, timeless Big Band tunes, Motown and Soul Classics to Swung Contemporary Pop.

Ruby has performed on stages all over the UK including as a Backing Vocalist upstairs at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London, to venues abroad such as Swing 46 Jazz and Supper Club near Times Square, New York. She has toured around the UK with several Big Bands performing on great stages including HQ and Ambassador Theatre Groups, organised and choreographed cabarets as a Bluecoat for Pontins Holiday Camps, as well as hosted many Open Mic Nights, Band Jams, Charity Events and Private Functions. Ruby also features annually as a Special Guest Vocalist at The Big Band Blitz 1940’s Gala (which was featured on Strictly Come Dancing). Jazz, Big Band and Swing are where her artistic preferences lie, however, she has also been involved in various projects of different genres including Musical Theatre, Cabaret, Rock and Pop, Classical and Folk. She is known to have fantastic stage presence, a versatile repertoire and possesses a strong, warm voice with stylistic techniques way beyond her years! We had Betty Boop. We had Jessica Rabbit. We had Ella Fitzgerald. We had Marilyn Monroe... Ladies and Gentleman…Ruby Robinson!
