Le QuecumBar presents:
The Jelly Roll Jazz Band
Taking the 'modern' out of modern jazz.
The Jelly Roll Jazz Band are a lively (and slightly eccentric) traditional jazz trio, hailing originally from North Yorkshire but now performing all over the country. Like musical magpies, they gather their repertoire from a range of sources - from the classic jazz standards of Fats Waller and Louis Armstrong, through to the surreal stylings of The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, with the occasional bit of Britney Spears thrown in for good measure. With their smokin' hot jazz and quirky sense of humour, this is a band that never fails to bring smiles to faces. When not performing in brasseries, they can be found playing at a variety of occasions including The Tour de Yorkshire, Yorkshire Day, and (controversially) The Royal Lancashire Show.
Line-up: Michael A. Grant (clarinet) Dan Wackett (banjo) James Ure (tuba)
